What is This?

Google Event is when Radar Hill hosts a free live webinar focused on a specific area or industry of online marketing. The live stream lasts about one hour, with plenty of time afterwards for questions and answers.

This event is focused on B2B online marketing. Decision-makers are 75% of the way through their purchase process before even reaching out to a brand, and when they are searching for a business to hire, 68% of the research is digitally driven. There is an average of 12 searches online before engaging with a brand.This means it is vital to be online, ready for prospective clients to find you.

Another thing to note is that using multi-screen is the default for B2B researches, but mobile searches are increasing. Having your ads and website adapted to fit both these mediums will maximize its impact. For example, 20% of searches are now done via voice search, and most Google Assistant requests are asked in natural speech. Having content that matches these search styles ensures that your digital presence is as effective as possible.

GDPR – European Personal Data Regulation

The GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation – is regulation coming into effect on 25 May 2018. It has not made the news much in Canada, but it has the potential to affect every country in the world. So what is it exactly? In this article, we will be introducing what the GDPR is (do not be alarmed), the obligations of those involved (everybody), and how to be compliant (guidelines only).

What was a shiny new website just 5 years ago can now be outdated and leave your business with a huge potential gap in visitors and clients. There are various measurable ways that the World Wide Web has changed in 17 years, and we are publishing a “Then and Now” blog series to illustrate what a website requires to stay current. Then:
To be published in a medium that had an audience, you had to be a professional writer, or at least have your writing go through several stages of editing before being seen by the wider world. There were not many avenues where your business could have a consistent image projected of itself, unless you paid a lot in advertising. And even that had to go through many stages, there was no real avenue for direct business-owner-to-consumer content.

Now:
Anyone can publish their written work online, and it has the potential to be viewed by hundreds, if not thousands or millions, of people. While some might find this a negative attribute of the Internet, it is in reality a simple way to create and moderate your image. By writing blogs and content, you are more in control of your business, and can project a more personable and knowledgeable image directly to your target market.
