In difficult moments such as these (the internet is down), we take time to reflect on the past year of achievements, struggles, and good times.
Here at Radar Hill, it’s been a busy year. As a programmer, I spend most of my time burrowed away in the back room. I’ve got Lady Gaga in my headphones and pages of code spread out on both monitors. When Dan or Shawn bring a client to the office, they parade past me so I can glance up and say “sup?” and they can prove that their code monkeys exist.
And it seems like that happened a lot this year? So that must mean that business is good? Cool!

Imagine your leg has fallen asleep and is now waking with pins and needles. Then light it on fire.
Two years ago (2013) I contracted this nasty infection called cellulitis. I remember sitting at my desk trying to convince myself that I had the energy to ride my motorcycle home safely. Turns out I did make it home safely that afternoon two years ago but after the ride home it was three days before I got out of bed. This year for Bike to Work Week (BTWW) we registered a team. Over half of our office signed up to participate! Our team logged a total of 218 km the week of May 25th with some staff cycling every day and others just keeping with the fair weather.
The celebration stations that were set up before and after work were great stops along the way with the free snacks, beverages and contests. If you forgot to eat breakfast on your way to work, there was enough fruit and cinnamon buns (And of course, coffee!) to fill you up on your way to work. Continue reading
