Understanding Google Analytics & Ads: Workshop

How to drive more traffic and more leads to your website by leveraging statistics – learn about Google Analytics and Google Ads in this comprehensive 2for1 workshop!

Google is a key part of digital marketing in 2019, and this workshop is going to focus on two services, Google Analytics & Google Ads.

Your website can help determine the success of your business overall. It’s more than just a place for customers to find products and services, it’s a virtual storefront that needs to work not only as an appealing lure for potential customers, but as a positive virtual experience when they do decide to ‘enter’.

Google Analytics

If you don’t know who is coming to your site, then you don’t know how to accurately market to them. You need to know exactly who is visiting your site, and you can do all that and more, with Analytics.

But, all the graphs and numbers can be confusing to understand. There is so much information that can be gleaned from the reports, but if you don’t know how to read it, then it’s not helpful. That’s where this workshop comes in, Kendra Savich, our Google certified expert, will explain not only how to read and understand the statistics, but what to do with the numbers afterwards.

Google Ads

There are still the traditional channels for advertising-  newspaper ads, radio ads, commercials, etc. – but the fact is that online marketing, specifically Google Ads, is the most targeted and efficient way to spend your marketing budget.

How does this work? By only showing your ad to the people who are looking for your product or service, the service is calibrated and targeted to deliver maximum results. Through the use of keywords, your website will only be shown to those who are searching for it.

For example, if someone is searching on Google for birthday parties in Duncan, then they will not receive an ad for construction companies in Victoria. You are as specific and targeted as you need to be with Google Ads, even down to an exact sentence match.

Why You Should Come

Google Analytics combined with Google Ads are powerful tools to leverage your business. With Analytics, we can tell exactly which keywords are working, which searches are making people click on your website. This means your strategy can evolve to match the habits of your audience.

There’s the famous quote “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half”. But that should never be said in this digital age, we know where every dollar is being spent!

If you are confused about keywords, targets, search engines, and digital marketing in general – then come to the Google workshop in the Coastal Offices in Colwood. They are private office rentals, meeting rooms, and co-working space solutions with locations in both Colwood and Duncan, and a great place to hold a workshop!
