John G. Fitch

John G. Fitch, Professor Emeritus at the University of Victoria, launched his personal website today. His chief interests are in Greek and Roman Literature, especially Seneca’s dramas and the “poetry of knowledge” of Lucretius and Vergil. He has also published poetry of his own. Other interests include farming (ancient and modern), local history and genealogy.

His website design is calming, elegant, clean & professional and is divided into two sections: About John (his interests, publications & biography) and the Fitch UK Genealogy. Several landscape and floral photos add visual interest to the website.

About ken

Ken started experimenting with web design and construction over a decade ago, and has spent countless hours agonising over layouts in Photoshop and marking up websites since then. He strives to create websites that are easy to use, functional, and stunning to look at. By taking time to fully understand the needs and goals of each project Ken aims to create design solutions that not only look great, but serve a purpose. When not creating solutions for the web, Ken can often be found picking banjo, jumping in lakes, and checking out live music around town.
