About the Client
For over 20 years, Equitex has built a strong reputation for dedicated and meticulous property management and real estate services in British Columbia. They are committed to managing the investment properties of their clients to meet their objectives and maximize the clients’ returns. That commitment extends from the minutest details of building maintenance through the most complex investment and development negotiations.
Equitex came to Radar Hill with an out-dated website that needed to be re-designed. The staff also wanted to be able to manage the content on the website – including all of their rental and Real Estate listings.
The Design Process
Dan first met with Ashley from Equitex to determine Equitex’s needs and wants in a website. What did it need to accomplish? What were the goals? What is their target market? (and then a lot more questions and answers!).
In a second meeting, our graphic designer Ken discussed the look and feel of the website with Ashley. We asked questions like “What do you want people to say about your new website?” & “What do you want people to feel when they visit your website?” Equitex had many promotional materials (business cards, folders, stationery) that they liked, so Radar Hill graphic designers would use them as inspiration and a jumping-off point. The designers created wireframes & colour schemes and created 3 proofs for Equitex’s consideration.
In a third meeting, Ken and Dan met with Ashley & Mike and unveiled the proofs. They liked all of the proofs (always a good sign!), but were able to narrow their favourite down to one proof and after some discussion and a few changes the website design was approved (yah!).
The next step for the graphic designers was to build a responsive website that used our Pyramid Content Management System. And then, “ta da!” another beautiful and functional website is born.
