Junior Achievement Workshop: Business Basics

January 27th and February 4th Roger and Shawn are hosting  Junior Achievement’s Business Basics: Our Business World (.pdf) program for homeschooled youth ages 10-11 years who are interested in learning about business. The program introduces youth to the fundamental concepts of business in a community and global context. Participants achieve:

  • Greater appreciation and understanding of concepts related to business and economics;
  • Practical experience making decisions in real-life situations;
  • Awareness of the range of jobs and careers available through education.

Like all Junior Achievement programs, this four-hour workshop is provided free of charge, and facilitated by volunteers, business professionals from the local community. For details about JA or to volunteer, contact Deborah Wakeham, the Regional Manager for Junior Achievement of British Columbia by phone at 250-380-6765.
