Invitation to our Friday January 13 Talk: Introduction to Twitter, for Beginners

Invitation to our Friday January 13 Talk: Introduction to Twitter, for Beginners.

Twitter is “an online social networking service and microblogging service” that lets users send and read short text-based messages.

Curious? If you have never tweeted and want to learn what Twitter is about, join us for this month’s talk, and we will discuss:

  • What is Twitter?
  • What are tweets?
  • Understanding a tweet
  • What are #hash tags, RTs, DMs and other jargon?
  • Shrinking website addresses
  • Following tweeps
  • Guidelines

This is the very basics, for people who have never tweeted.

Date: Friday January 13th Time: 12:00 noon Р1:00 pm Place: Radar Hill boardroom, Top Floor Р3301 Douglas Street.

There is no charge for this talk. An RSVP is required as seating is limited. Please call 250.477.6395 to reserve your place. If the session is full we will add your name to the wait list.

Love to get in on the Twitter intro. Fridays can be a problem at noon but may be able to accommodate as not arranging speakers for Rotary right now.

  2. Shawn says:

    Thanks Don.

Some of our workshops are filling up so fast, we have been repeating them same day at 2 pm. Would that work for you and other Rotary members?

  3. Andrea says:

Please put me on the list for your next Twitter workshop.

    Thank you!

  4. Hi Andrea. We have you on the waiting list.
