Volume #1, Issue #28: 6 November 2010

Another Leak — The repairs and painting because of our flood are done. We have rebuilt the graphic artist workstations; Ken and Crystal have moved back to their usual places. On Monday Dan cleared off and dusted his desk so he could move his computer back. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a drip and thought ‘was that outside?‘ And then another drip, and another, and another, and realized the corner overhang above his desk, which had just been replastered and repainted last week, was dripping. There is an issue with the boiler up on the roof. The pressure relief valve keeps leaking, and water comes through where all the pipes are located, which is above Dan’s desk. Now that corner looks worse than it did with the original flood, with the plaster wet and exposed, and buckets on the floor to catch the dripping water.

VREB Expo 2010 — This was a very successful trade show for us. Radar Hill Co-owner Roger Whitson was a featured speaker. His topic, Your Business Website — Own What You Pay For was delivered to a packed room. Roger is available to give this talk to other groups. Read more about this trade show on our blog.

Open House Invitation — You are invited to our Annual Radar Hill Open House on Wednesday, November 24, 3 pm to 7 pm. Please join us for snacks, refreshments and live music.

Google Places — My recent trip to the mainland showed the value of Google Places in locating businesses. With the growth of Augmented Reality it’s important to make your business listing available through Google Web Search, Mobile search, 1-800-GOOG-411 voice directory search, and Google Earth. We can get you listed.

Websites Launched

New Website: VictoriaPropertiesAndHomes.com — A new website for Victoria BC REALTOR® Carol Anne Weiner with Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty. It features an original design and a number of tools to help her clients find the home they are looking for, such as a Home Search Form, Mortgage Calculator, and a Private Login area. The Private Login area is Radar Hill’s Real Estate prospecting tool that emails REALTORS®’ clients listings that match their personal search criteria. Visit her site…

Website Re-Design: JulieSwift.com — When Julie came to us she had a very dark website with a black background and deep green accents. It didn’t fit her bright and open personality at all. Using lots of white space, soft blues and a little punch of bright green we created a design that was much more inviting and representative of Julie’s friendly and approachable character.
