We sincerely thank you for your emails, phone calls, tweets and visits about our flood and Dan’s accident. The support was overwhelming. Here is an update.
Aftermath of our Flood — The flood from a burst pipe in the ceiling completely wiped out our two graphic artist workstations. Ken and Crystal are now working in the boardroom, on new equipment, until their area is repaired. The heaters and dryers ran for over a week in the flooded area, which has now been drywalled, and should be painted next week.
Dan Healing — Dan is recovering nicely from his mountain bike accident. He has healed up well, thanks, Dan says, to good Lundgren genes. We sponsor National Motorcycle Racer Oliver Jervis, and as someone who knows about crashes, he was pleasantly surprised to see how fast Dan is healing up.
Social Media Camp — October 3rd was the first, and hopefully annual, Social Media Camp in Victoria (#smcv10 on Twitter). It was a huge success. Roger, Kendra, and Crystal attended from the Radar Hill team. Read what Kendra says about it in our blog. We are looking forward to #smcv11.
Events & Announcements — We are thinking of starting a new section in this newsletter, for events and major announcements from our great clients, publicized at our discretion. Do you have anything you would like to share? Or if you prefer the newsletter to stay the way it is, let us know.
New Website: REBoostSystems.com — St. Louis based Bob Corcoran, a long-time friend of Radar Hill and successful real estate consult and coach, wanted a way to share his proven business systems and strategies with real estate agents across North America. He needed to deliver training materials including PDFs, video, interactive spreadsheets, and more, but still keep this valuable content secure. Radar Hill built R.E.Boost Systems TM an interactive, educational site that takes advantage of today’s technology to tap into Bob’s proven systems. Visit his site…
Website Re-Design: Homesmart.net — Mel Jarvis, a Victoria BC REALTOR® with RE/MAX Camosun, has worked in the real estate business for over 20 years, and was a commercial pilot for over 30 years before that. Originally designed in 2004, Mel’s website was due for a revamp. With a narrow, left-aligned design, and an over-the-top colour scheme – it had started to look dated, especially with today’s wide-screen monitors. The new Homesmart.net is a modern variation on the same theme. We used the same colours, but toned them down, and used the brighter reds to draw the users eye to key content. In addition, the new site has a Feature Property on the Homepage, which Mel can change himself through Radar Hill’s customized Real Estate Listings Administration, as well as two additional Feature Property boxes for the Personalized Home Search and Working with Mel.
